India celebrates Republic Day on January 26^th annually with a lot of pride and fervour. It is a day that is important to every Indian citizen. It marks the day when India became truly independent and embraced democracy.

            This year India celebrated its 71^st Republic Day. A military parade was held in the national capital, New Delhi, which demonstrated the country’s military might and its rich cultural heritage. To showcase the diverse and unique culture of India, several beautiful tableaux were exhibited during the Republic Day parade on the Raj path.

To nourish the feeling of patriotism Republic Day was celebrated on 24^th January, 2020. Children made beautiful pictures of tri-colour flags, flag hoisting etc. They also wrote slogans related to Republic Day. Through this activity they understood that India is a nation where ‘Unity in Diversity is celebrated with great pomp and show.
