SHABAD SINGING BY GRANDPARENTS

Guru Nanak Jayanti is observed every year as birth anniversary of the Sikh Founder, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is also known as Prakash Utsav Or Guru Purab. It is the most prominent sikh festival. This day is celebrated with utmost enthusiasm throughout the nation.

          To develop this enthusiasm in children, Shabad Singing by Grandparents activity was conducted for classes I – V on November 4. Grandparents of many children came to their respective classes and sang Shabad for them. Through this activity, students came to know about the rich cultural heritage of the Sikhism. Children as well as Grandparents enjoyed the activity.
