HARYALI TEEJ is the festival celebrated to mark the bounty of nature, the arrival of rain and greenery surrounded by wonderful social activities. It commemorates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. In a special assembly today, Ms. Prem of Hindi Department apprised the students about the significance of the festival. She enlightened that it is considered the most auspicious time to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and Parvati as it exhibits unwavering dedication of Parvati to her husband.Teej festival is a yearly celebration and is also called the festival of swings. Aradhya of class VII recited a beautiful poem expressing the glee and euphoria of the festival.
