Role – Play Activity

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated annually on October 2^nd to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. To inculcate his teachings in today’s life, a role-play activity was conducted for classes I to V. Children enacted like Gandhiji using different props like spectacles, paper stick etc. By walking in Gandhiji’s shoes, children learned the valuable lessons about leadership, compassion and the power of peaceful resistance. They also understood about how his commitment to non-violence, truth and simplicity continues to inspire people globally. Children enjoyed the activity.
