Legal Awareness Workshop 

A workshop was organised to sensitise the students of classes  IX and XI under the aegis of DLSA and HLSA, Yamunanagar. Mr. Parveen Kumar and Ms Sona Devi , well known legal experts and members Legal Cell , were the key speakers. 
Mr. Parveen apprised the students about POCSO Act as well as Juvenile Justice Act. He told the students that during lockdown students world over had unlimited access to their mobile phones which is now proving to be a bane in their lives. Instead of studying, the students are spending their time on inappropriate contents easily accessible via smartphones which is affecting their moral values.  Moreover children of age 16 years and a above are liable to stringent punishment if caught in any immoral activity. 
So he advised them to stay away from such people as well as activities that can prove harmful to their future. At the same time they should be bold enough to voice their concerns against any wrong-doing happening to them or in their surroundings. He also cautioned them to avoid putting any personal pic on their social media accounts as it can be misused by others. 
Ms. Sona Devi advised students to study hard and build their future on strong footing rather than wasting time on harmful habits. 

It was a well attended workshop under the supervision of teachers as well as School Legal Head Ms .Simran Aulakh.
