BAISAKHI/ B.R. AMBEDKAR JAYANTI

(12 April 2024)

Baisakhi is an occasion of tremendous joy and festivity. In a special assembly today, Yashika of class IV recited a beautiful poem on Baisakhi and Ms. Mridula Sharma of Commerce department apprised the students about the significance and the historical background of the festival. She made the children aware that the festival is celebrated to mark the onset of harvest of Rabi crop in north India. It is also an auspicious day as KHALSA PANTH was founded by Guru Gobind Singh Ji on this day in 1699. She further added that on this very day, people also pay tribute to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh who sacrificed their lives for the country.

She also wished everyone for B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti and motivated all to stand for Equality, Liberty and Fraternity, the three principles of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar-the architect of Indian constitution.
