Yellow food / Making of Kite

 

To mark the arrival of spring and dedicate this day to Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom.  

 

Basant Panchami mark the beginning of the spring season. People celebrate this festival with full vivacity and joy. Spring is the season when crops are fully bloomed, so people celebrate this occasion by flying kites. Yellow colour is paid special attention, people wear yellow clothes, make yellow colour food and sweets on this day.

 

The festival of Basant Panchami is also dedicated to Saraswati the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge. On this day Goddess Saraswati is worshipped in most of the educational institutions.

To mark the arrival of spring and dedicate this day to Goddess Saraswati an activity was conducted where children made beautiful kites using old newspapers, colourful glaze papers, kite papers etc. They decorate the kites using stickers, drew beautiful pictures on it.

Children also enjoyed eating yellow food and sweets. They enthusiastically participated in this activity and understood the importance of the spring season.
