WORLD HERITAGE DAY

World Heritage Day, also known as the International Monuments and Sites Day, is celebrated every year on 18 April. The day is all about increasing the awareness of the importance of the diversity of cultural heritage and preserving it for generations in the future. To mark the occasion, a special assembly was conducted- Veena Ma’am apprised and initiated with the significance of World Heritage Day and it was further followed by Bhavya of class VII who recited a poem based on the preservation of our historical monuments. Ms. Rekha Gupta of English Department enlightened the students about the relevance of the day. She made the students aware that our historical sites and monuments need to be protected to ensure that they continue to be an asset for years and years to come. Therefore, the day is a collective effort of communities around the globe. This day celebrates the joint history and heritage of the human race and encourages us to celebrate all the world’s cultures. (Activities  related to the World Heritage Day would be conducted on Saturday.)
