World Book Day

Each year World Book Day and Copyright Day is celebrated all over the world to recognise the power of books in shaping our lives and its eventual impact on our society as well as the world we live in. So to commemorate this day a special speech was given by Ms Gagan, Niti house mistress, in the morning assembly. This day has been a natural choice for the UNESCO as it coincides with birth as well   death anniversary of several authors including the Bard himself ( William Shakespeare).This day celebrates the enjoyment of both reading and writing , access to books and authors’ rights over their work.The students were asked to inculcate the habit of reading good books on regular basis. Gagan ma’am further reminded the students of our Director Principal, Veena Maam’s often given advice on book reading and how it helps in increasing our understanding of life and our surroundings . Later on even Veena Maam advised students to make books their life long companions who will be there for them through thick and thin . The advise was well received by all the students and the teachers as well.
