World Book and Copyright Day (23 April 2026)
“Books open doors to worlds beyond imagination.”
World Book and Copyright Day was observed at Springfields Public School, highlighting the importance of reading and intellectual creativity. The focus remained on how reading enriches knowledge, language, and creativity, while also fostering respect for authors and their work.
An insightful speech was delivered by Ms. Rekha Gupta from the English Department, who spoke about the value of books as lifelong companions and the importance of respecting intellectual property. Adding a creative touch, Sanskriti Tiwari of Class IV recited a poem that reflected the joy and magic of reading. Students were encouraged to develop a regular reading habit and to appreciate the efforts of writers.
Our Honourable Director Principal, Veena Ma’am, emphasized that books are not just a source of knowledge but also a foundation for character building and critical thinking. She inspired students to make reading a daily habit and to value the wisdom preserved in books.
The assembly concluded with a pledge to nurture the habit of reading and to respect books and their creators as a source of knowledge and inspiration.
