Let’s salute the
spirit of Haryana

 Haryana Heroes’ Day or Shaheed Diwas is observed on 23 September in Haryana. The day commemorates the freedom fighters and martyrs of Haryana who made immense sacrifices for the freedom and honor of the state.

On 18 September 2026, the ‘Unsung stars on Screen’ activity was organized for the students of Classes I to V, in which they were shown a documentary film based on ‘Rohnat-1857’ and the sacrifices made by the brave people during that historic period.

The documentary provided the students with an opportunity to learn about the courage, sacrifices and contribution of the unsung heroes of Haryana. The screening was informative and thought-provoking, inspiring the children to value the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and fostering a strong sense of patriotism, pride and respect for our heritage.
