Celebrating the Spirit of Navratri and Dussehra (17 October 2026)
“When devotion fills our hearts and goodness guides our actions, victory over evil becomes inevitable.”
Springfields Public School celebrated the auspicious festivals of Navratri and Dussehra with devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural fervour. Saanvi Gupta, a student of Class V, melodiously recited a Hindi poem on Navratri, beautifully highlighting all nine forms of Maa Durga, collectively known as Navdurga. This was followed by an insightful speech by Sachin Sir on Dussehra, who explained the significance of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and emphasised the eternal triumph of good over evil. Adding a creative dimension to the celebration, students from Classes VI to X participated in a Mask-Making Activity, creating colourful masks depicting different forms of Maa Durga and showcasing their artistic skills and creativity.
Our respected Director-Principal, Veena Ma’am, emphasised that the true essence of these festivals lies in overcoming negativity, developing inner strength, and imbibing the values of truth, courage, kindness, and righteousness. She highlighted the importance of applying these timeless lessons in everyday life and striving to become better human beings. The celebration proved to be a meaningful blend of devotion, creativity, and cultural learning, reinforcing the enduring message that goodness always triumphs over evil.
